Microsoft Sender ID
Microsoft's Sender ID programme allows you to create an SPF record for the DNS of your domain which verifies the domain name from which e-mail messages are sent. It's a bit of a long winded process, but well worth it to ensure the reliability of your mail delivery.
- Visit the Microsoft Sender ID page.
- Or use the Sender ID Framework SPF Record Wizard.
Once you've got an SPF record in place, you can also register it with gMail, Excite, Yahoo and other volume suppliers. Easiest way with these is to setup an account and if you have problems with delivery, raise a support query and give them your SPF record details. They'll usually unblock the domain within a few days and in my experience it stays unblocked.
